The joy and adventure of a summer in Israel is more accessible than ever! RootOne offers a $3,000 travel voucher for Jewish teens who travel to Israel with NCSY/JSU in the summer of 2022. Stay tuned for additional details and information.
Applying for the travel voucher is as easy as (1) choosing your program, (2) signing up with NCSY/JSU, and (3) completing a voucher application with RootOne. As soon as program registration opens up we will update the information on our website. Check back soon!
All Jewish teens are welcomed on our programs and are eligible for the voucher, regardless of prior NCSY/JSU involvement.
Eligible voucher applicants are currently enrolled in 9th through 11th grade, are Jewish, and are citizens of the United States or Canada. Voucher eligibility is NOT connected to financial need or merit. Additionally, applicants must be in good standing with NCSY/JSU, cannot be on probation, and/or cannot owe any funds to NCSY/JSU.
Once registration opens and the voucher applications are available, we typically expect notifications to be sent within 14 days of receiving your completed registration and voucher application.
Voucher recipients must agree to take part in pre- and post-summer engagement programming (~4 hours total) as well as complete a post-program confidential survey. Non-fulfillment of these obligations and/or removal from the program due to a Code of Conduct violation will necessitate repayment of the $3,000 voucher to NCSY/JSU.
The voucher can be applied to all NCSY/JSU summer experiences in Israel, including programs with connections outside of Israel (e.g. Europe, North America, etc.)
Yes, you may receive the $3,000 Israel voucher and still be eligible for other forms of scholarship from NCSY/JSU as well as from other funding sources.
